Cement sales in September 2020 amounted to 5.2 million tons - the largest to date

In September 2020, the cement sector had the highest shipments. The total volume of shipments in September 2020 amounted to 5.23 million tons against 4273 million tons in September 2019. Utilization of local cement increased by 17.65% to 4.89 million tons and 34.7 million tons in September 2020. Meanwhile, in September 2019, exports increased by 40.95%, increasing from 0.797 million tons in the same month last year to 1.24 million tons. From 30.29 million tons in September 2019 Exports from the north increased by 9.27% ​​from 0.263 million tons in September 2019 to 0.287 million tons in September 2020.
The southern region also showed positive growth: cement shipments to the domestic market increased by 26.84% from 445,629 tons to 565,236 tons in September 2019. Exports from the southern regions continued to increase by 56.53% from 534,751 tons in September 2019 to 837,033 tons in September this year. Quarter shipments of cement increased from 1,136 million tons in July and September 2019 to 13,573 million tons, up 21.88%. ... Domestic traffic increased by 18.84% from 91.2 million tons to 10.83 trillion tons. Exports also showed encouraging growth, rising 35.67% from 2.65 million tons to 27.35 billion tons. The cement industry in Pakistan has helped consumers obtain cement at a very competitive price compared to other countries in the region through major investment and modernization of new equipment and machinery in recent years.
Cement is an important raw material needed to play an important role in the development of a country. There are very high taxes, including a federal excise tax of Rs. Equivalent to 1500 / -pc per ton. 75 pcs / bag. The government needs to get rid of the federal excise tax because it is not a luxury item. Govt to provide Rs 400m subsidy to farmers on PB Rope import

The government will provide 400 million rupees subsidy to framers on the import of PB Rope from the current cotton sowing season. According to Cotton Commissioner in the Ministry of National Food Security and Research Dr Khalid Abdullah، subsidy for PB Rope imports for about 2,00,000 hectares would be provided to help overcome threats of pest attacks on crop during its fruiting season and save the crop from damage. He said the amount is being allocated to enhance per-acre cotton output across the crop sowing areas of the country. Cotton Commissioner informed that government in close coordination with private sector had also designed a holistic program to ensure provision of certified cotton seed to farmers in order to achieve maximum per acre crop output during the season and get more profit.
